Inform the narcissist that your calendar is too full for you to meet up or discuss. For instance, perhaps you’ve always wanted to take up jiu-jitsu, learn how to make ceramics, or go on more trips.
Perhaps you have dreams that you continually put off. Go for it if you want to make healthy changes in your life right now.
Spend time with your network of supporters.
Being around respectable individuals might give you a sense of authority. This conveys to the NPD sufferer that you are respected by others. You might even begin to understand that you’re ready to go on with your life and don’t care what the narcissist thinks of you with the right emotional support.
Reach out to an online support group if you don’t feel comfortable discussing the narcissistic individual in your life with your friends or family.
Recognize that people with NPD are incapable of feeling regret.
