Isolation from Loved Ones
Your family and friends are your external support in helping you grow and succeed. That’s why a jealous narcissist often views your other relationships as a threat. As a result, they may attempt to isolate you from your friends and family. Narcissists do that to eliminate external sources of support and perspective that could challenge their power over you. They will manipulate situations, sow seeds of doubt, and make you question the intentions and loyalty of those closest to you. By severing your support network, narcissists gain more power and influence over your life. Isolation is a tool for narcissists to ensure that you become increasingly dependent on them for validation, guidance, and companionship.
Gaslighting and Manipulation
Gaslighting and manipulation are powerful tools that a jealous narcissist uses to control and dominate you. They distort your reality to maintain their power over you. Narcissists twist the truth and shift the blame onto you. They also exploit your vulnerabilities and insecurities to play with your emotions, keeping you off balance. Their goal is to make it increasingly difficult for you to trust your judgment. They strategically employ lies, half-truths, and emotional manipulation to bend you to their will. Ultimately, gaslighting and manipulation keep you under their control. It reinforces their superiority and ensures their needs and desires are prioritized above all else.
