The second thing that can make a Narcissist lose interest is if you ignore them or block them. Block them on everything, them and their flying monkeys. The Narcissist will take offence by your actions, and they will look to smear you at least, but they will have to accept that they need to focus on other sources of supply as you have now made yourself emotionally or physically unreachable. It is important though that you maintain keeping the Narcissist at a distance and not provide any Narcissistic Supply because the slightest whiff of an open door can cause them to come snooping around once more. But if you remain unreachable the Narcissist will have to find someone else who can give them the attention or resources, they think they deserve. Another thing that can make the Narcissist lose interest is if you call them out on their bad behavior.
Narcissists hate their flaws being pointed out so if you become that person that refuses to tolerate their toxicity or let their lies and manipulations slide. They will want to avoid you. They do not want to be exposed. So, they will realize in quick time that you are not the type of person they want to be around. Narcissists cannot handle any sort of criticism. So, no matter how meaningful your critiques are, they will take offence and they will prefer not to be in your presence. The final thing that can make a Narcissist lose interest is one I would not recommend, but it is a fact that once the Narcissist gets What They Want they will lose interest.
Narcissists get bored easily and it is clear that some of them enjoy the chase. But once they’ve caught you, they become bored, and they are no longer excited or willing to invest in you in any way. The love-bombing ends and with it goes the Narcissist’s attention and affection and you become more of a pain than a joy to be around.
