They only have a few “friends” at work that they go out with, and rarely date outside of their office. You may meet one or two of them, but it is highly unlikely you will ever find out more about them than their job. Their friends are probably their family. So they try to keep it all “hush-hush”.
They take control of finances
If you are in a relationship where the Narcissist is controlling the finances, you are the one in danger. The reason is that they don’t care about anyone else but themselves, and only see money and power as things they need. You, as their partner, are expendable.

Think hard about what you admire about yourself, and what you dislike about yourself. Are there any areas where you feel insecure? How can you improve upon those areas? Where do you need to change to become more secure and confident? These questions will help you figure out what kind of person you really are.

Do you feel you are a victim? Do you feel people are laughing at you or at your own shortcomings? Do you feel like you are always right and no one understands you? Are you suspicious of others? Narcissists usually have a lot of self-control issues.
Do you have a problem with responsibility? Do you find it hard to take care of yourself? Are you disloyal to loved ones? Do you have anger issues? Do you have trouble trusting others?
Do you have problems that are larger than yourself? Do you have affairs? Do you use alcohol, drugs, sex, food, money – are you self-destructive? Do you have a lot of debt?
