Today, I want to talk about what you need to remember and apply whenever a narcissist tries crawling back to you. I’ve done quite a few videos on the return of the narcissist, covering why they want to come back, the early warning signs to look out for, and the tactics they use.
Sometimes, it is out of our control when a narcissist returns. They can show up unannounced at your door, at a family gathering, you can bump into them on the street, or they might be very good at tracking you down wherever you go. It can happen quite easily if you still live in the same vicinity, if it’s a family member, or if you have mutual acquaintances. In these instances, it is very likely that you will cross paths with the narcissist again. However, it does not mean that you should entertain them or give them any of your precious time.
They Do Not Care
The first thing you need to remember is that the narcissist is not your friend. They never loved you and they do not care about you. They just want to use you. Whenever a narcissist weasels their way back into your life, it is because you have something they want. It can be something they haven’t managed to find elsewhere, or recent developments in your life may be the cause for them sniffing around. But whatever it is, just remember: the narcissist is not your friend or loving family member. They never cared about you, and they never will. At the end of the day, the narcissist only knows how to work against you, not for you or with you.
