Number four: They may be rejecting you because they are cheating with a new source of supply.
This is just a really cruel reality that many of us are faced with. Most times, the narcissist will lie about this specifically if they’re not ready to discard you yet. So, if we ask if someone else is involved, even if the signs are there that the narcissist is cheating, they will tell us we are crazy, that we have an overactive imagination, or that we’re reading too much into something.
However, many times narcissists cheat on their partner, they don’t care about the damage that they are doing to their current partner. They truly and honestly believe that they are entitled to have as many affairs as they choose. So, cheating may very well be the reason that a narcissist is rejecting you s.e.xually.
Number five: They enjoy humiliating you and seeing you plead with them.
This is a psychological game to the narcissist, and sometimes I tell my clients the name of the game is, “How much will you tolerate, and how much destruction can the narcissist cause to your self-esteem and to your life before you figure out who and what they are?” This is a game – a sick, destructive, horrible game to them – nothing more, nothing less.
