And when the narcissist leaves you nothing changes. He may post photos on social media and he may act as if he is happy, much happier than with you, but it is still part of the illusion. Remind yourself how happy the narcissist pretended to be when he was with you, this is just a role he played, it was only a matter of time before the narcissist shows who he really is.
The narcissist knows that no one wants to be around unhappy and angry people, so he hides it and pretends to be happy. If you look back, you’ll realize that’s what attracted you to him it made the narcissist seem attractive and you wanted to be around this fun, happy person until you realized it was all one big lie.
And now the narcissist simply repeats the same thing with someone else, a new source of supply who is as unaware as you once were. The narcissist deceives the new source of supply just as much as he deceives you, often even at the same time.
Karma catches up with the narcissist, every day is hell for him, that’s why he needs a source of supply. He can’t be alone, he can’t survive alone with his thoughts. He always needs something or someone to distract him from reality. A narcissist always has to project their shame onto someone else. A narcissist always needs someone to lash out at, he needs a punching bag. This is because the narcissist is internally unhappy and cannot cope with these feelings.
