Narcissists Were Once Gifted Beings | What Went Wrong

You know how Satan, or Iblis, became God’s enemy. In both Christianity and Islam, Satan was not always the embodiment of evil. He was once among the most exalted of beings. In Christianity, Lucifer is often described as the light bearer, an angel of immense beauty and wisdom. In Islam, he is known as Iblis, a jinn who was so devout and knowledgeable that he was elevated to the ranks of the angels. Can you imagine that? He was gifted. He was intelligent. He was close to God, but his downfall began with a single act of disobedience rooted in arrogance. When God created Adam and commanded the angels to bow before him, Iblis refused, didn’t he? He believed he was superior; he was made of fire, and Adam was made of clay. His pride blinded him to the divine command, and he chose to defy God. At that moment, his gifted soul was corrupted. He was cast out of heaven, not because he lacked intelligence or potential, but because he allowed his arrogance to consume him. That’s how he became the embodiment of evil.

This story is not just a religious narrative, and it does not matter if it is correct or not. I’m sharing it with you because it serves as a lesson. Satan wasn’t inherently evil; he was gifted. But he used those gifts for destruction instead of creation. His arrogance became his downfall, and his intelligence became a weapon against humanity.
