What Does a Narcissist Feel When You Fully Expose Them
There comes a time in the life of every survivor of narcissistic abuse when they feel they are done, not just feeling it but knowing, “I have to expose the narcissist.” When they look the narcissist in the eye and say, “I know who you are; I have figured you out.” But what happens in that narcissist’s mind? How do they feel about it? What do they experience? Most will tell you, “Oh, they shatter, they collapse, they rage.” But a lot goes on. How do I know? I have lived it, experienced it, and talked about it in different episodes.
Let’s get started with number one: Delusional Dilemma.
Let’s say you are in an emotionally prepared state, in control of your nervous system, completely stoic and fact-based. You present your argument, dissecting their personality precisely and showing them how rotten they are. How do you do this? By backing up everything you say with facts. What happens to a narcissist? They are taken aback because they thought they were invincible. But what you’re doing is proving them wrong. However, that’s not supposed to happen; that’s not how they are supposed to feel. So it puts them in a delusional dilemma. Why delusional and not just a dilemma? Because deep down, they process the information, and unlike a healthy person who would say, “Oh yeah, I am as guilty as charged; I see what I have done wrong and I have to take responsibility now,” a narcissist does the opposite. They somehow justify their victimhood. They convince themselves they cannot be wrong, that it must be your problem or a misunderstanding. They will take some time and get back to you with nothing but extreme, animalistic rage, which we will talk about in a minute. They won’t sit with it; they won’t reflect. They won’t think, “Oh yeah, I just said that; I did that.” They will insist you are their enemy, that your point is to destroy them, and they will never accept that you are the actual victim here.
Moving to number two: Animalistic Rage: The Beast Unleashed.
