Number ten: “That’s not accurate,” or “That’s not right,” or flat out, “You’re wrong.” And then silence—learn to use silence as the powerful weapon that it can be. As I said earlier, this alone is enough to turn their overinflated ego into dust. Again, mission accomplished.
Number eleven: “You’re a liar,” or “a coward,” or “a bully.” Whatever the case may be, call it out. You know it, and I know it. That’s the point you’re making. You’re saying, “You know you’re a liar, a coward, and a toxic bully.” Period. End of story. And when you make that clear statement—”You’re a liar,” or “a bully,” and they come back with some version of, “I don’t care what you think. I don’t care that you know it. I simply don’t care,” just say, “Oh, you care. You care a whole lot.” And silence. The message you’re sending is, “You know it, and I know it.” And that’s the truth—nothing more to say. Boo! This all it takes to completely annihilate their fragile little ego, the false persona they work so hard to project to the world. You come along with the truth, super confident and clear in your delivery, pop! It’s game over.
Number twelve: “Get lost,” or “Beat it now,” or “Scram!” Make sure they know you’re serious. You’re not playing. It’s important that they understand you are fully prepared to go to the next level. You will go so far as to call the authorities if necessary. You will get a restraining order if necessary. You will expose and publicly humiliate them if necessary. Make sure they know you’re serious—you are not playing. Remember, narcissists are cowards at their core. Forget the false persona they project; we’re talking about cowards here. When they know you’re serious and that you aren’t playing, it’s crushing to their overinflated ego.
