Genuine love is empathetic and selfless, while narcissistic obsession centers on control and validation. For example, if a narcissist knows your favorite food, they might serve it to you in public to appear like the perfect partner. In love, however, they would prioritize your comfort, regardless of who’s watching.
Love is about caring for your well-being, not boosting one’s ego or keeping up appearances. It comes without hidden agendas or strings attached.
