Nothing stops a narcissist from exposing their true demonic self when they feel defeated by you. When they feel inferior in comparison and know they can’t bring you down, they become childish, reactive, and quite impulsive, revealing how insecure they are. They resort to playing petty mind games.

1. They Become Obsessed with Proving You Wrong

Why? Because they know you are right. They create a false sense of safety for themselves. Everything you do, they do the opposite. Every move you make, they counter. You are in a constant battle with them, but only in their false reality. In truth, you’re not even engaging, yet they persist.

This obsessive behavior stems from their envy and insecurity. For example, when a narcissist chooses to counter-parent, they are not just trying to prove you wrong but are actively undermining your efforts. If you create structure in your child’s life, they’ll destroy it. If you encourage homework, hygiene, or discipline, they’ll do the opposite to win favor with the child, feeding their fragile ego.

Another example involves intellectual bullying. A cheating narcissist might cite distorted information or pseudo-scientific claims to justify their actions, attempting to gaslight you into doubt.
