Number six, through messages:
A partner with NPD may also read your messages and call logs on your phone to check for evidence that you are cheating. This is prevalent if you have a smartphone, which allows them easy access to these things without being caught in the act. Narcissists are always out to spy on you. It may be because they are insecure and afraid of being replaced. You’re not the only one who can see the signs of narcissistic personality disorder; friends and family members can also spot these red flags. If you are experiencing them in your relationship, you must seek help from a licensed therapist or professional counselor as soon as possible.
Number seven, through the mail:
If you have a mailbox that requires a key, your partner may try to gain access or steal your mail. They can do this by installing a hidden camera inside the mailbox or placing a lock on your door that makes it easy for them to open. There are a few things you can do to prevent this from happening. First, get a lock that requires a key on both sides so that both parties can unlock it with the other’s knowledge. Second, place your mail in another location where they cannot access it. Finally, ensure you have a hidden camera in your mailbox to capture their actions. This way, if they try to steal your mail or open it without your permission, you will have video evidence and can take appropriate action.
Number eight, through classic stalker behavior:
If your partner has NPD, they may also exhibit classic stalker tendencies, which means they will follow you around and closely monitor your activities. While they may not necessarily want to harm you physically at this point, narcissists may lash out with threats or violence if they see something that makes them angry or jealous. They may also be very jealous of anyone who gets close to you, as this can divert attention away from them. The stalker’s mindset is that they must be in control at all times and will do whatever it takes to ensure this happens. It is challenging, but it’s important to remember that their behavior is not your fault. You cannot control what another person does or when they do it, so there is no point in blaming yourself for their actions. Stalking can be a very frightening experience, but there are things you can do to protect yourself. If you are being stalked, you must tell someone about it immediately. It could be a friend or family member who lives nearby or someone at school or work who is aware of the situation. Remember that you don’t have to deal with these situations alone. Some people are willing to protect you from your narcissistic partner—your family, friends, and even the authorities. You just have to speak out and inform them about the abuse that the narcissist has inflicted upon you.
