As their end approaches, narcissists often have haunting visions. Unlike peaceful encounters reported by others near death—like seeing loved ones—narcissists experience torment.
For example, my malignant narcissistic grandfather would see dark shadows, feel earthquakes, and talk about being chased in his dreams. These disturbing visions were a reflection of his inner turmoil and possibly a glimpse of his reckoning.
Act 5: The Illusion of Freedom
God often gives narcissists temporary freedom—wealth, power, and success—to test them. These blessings are not rewards but opportunities to change their ways. However, narcissists consistently choose darkness.
Their fall from grace is catastrophic. Public humiliation, financial ruin, and loss of power shatter their illusions. Having tasted dominance, the reality of subservience becomes unbearable. Their collapse is total, leaving them to wither away.
