The biggest punishment? Narcissists see their fantasies destroyed. They may work tirelessly toward a particular goal, investing all their resources, only to have it snatched away at the last moment.
I’ll share a personal experience: My father groomed me to be his psychological slave, obedient and subservient. He viewed my education as a loan I had to repay, plus interest. But I woke up to the toxicity and went no-contact. God opened doors for me, making my escape smooth—a divine intervention.
When narcissists lose their control or dreams, their world collapses. They realize too late that their selfish ways lead only to isolation and despair.
Act 3: Paranoia Takes Over
God devastates narcissists by amplifying their paranoia. While survivors of trauma may experience paranoia as a response to their struggles, narcissists’ paranoia stems from their own deceitful lives.
Narcissists distrust everyone, even their closest allies. They obsess over being watched, tracked, or betrayed. This constant state of fear consumes them, leaving no room for peace. They live as if walking on burning fire, forever anxious and unsettled.
