- Think about toxic people
It is impossible to escape from these people who irritate you permanently. So every time you think about them, think how lucky you are to be friends with someone much more positive. The last thing you need to do is think about the people who don’t matter instead of caring about the people who do.
- Doing several things at once in a meeting
Always devote yourself fully to what you do. If a meeting doesn’t deserve your attention, you don’t have to do anything about it; if it’s necessary, get as much out of it as possible. Doing over one thing at a time in a meeting is frowned upon because it makes you feel you are more important than others.
- Saying bad things about others
People who gossip derive pleasure from the misfortune of others. It may seem fun to dwell on someone else’s personal or professional mistake, but over time it becomes tiresome. You give the impression that you are meddling in things none of your business and you are hurting the people involved. There are too many positive things to learn from others to waste time talking about their misfortunes.
“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss other people. (Eleanor Roosevelt)
